A Hint of Homestead

Our natural living journey began about 10 years ago when Ashleigh experienced some scary health issues after our firstborn. Then, our second born experienced a severe allergic reaction as an infant. We did a 180 with the way we approached our day-to-day lives. We decided to become more natural with our food, health, and lifestyle.
We love to bake and cook with fresh milled flour and grain, homegrown vegetables, and local meats and produce. Here we’ll share our tips, lessons, and recipes. From battles with squash bugs to making the perfect loaf of bread, join us as we navigate the limitations and delights of suburbia.
Grab your shovel, blender, and a sense of humor—let’s do this! And, as Eric always says: “Lower your expectations“.
Happy Suburban Homesteading,
– Eric and Ashleigh
