Easy Homemade Cinnamon Peach Butter

Save for later!

This isn’t your mama’s apple butter, it’s Nana’s Homemade Cinnamon Peach Butter and so delicious. Any peach variety should work in this recipe, but you may be asking “Why is your peach butter red?” Well, our Nana has a Dwarf Purple Leaf Peach tree in her front yard. The fruit of this particular peach tree unfortunately doesn’t have much flavor, but it can easily be made into butters, jams, or pies. We work hard on our step stools picking peaches from this little peach tree in her front yard every August.

Served over ice cream, oatmeal, or on toast it goes with everything. You can even eat it by itself like you would applesauce.

Ingredients:

  • 16 cups Peeled and Chopped Peaches
  • 1/2 cup Lemon Juice
  • 1 cup Water
  • 2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 2 tsp Cinnamon (it is optional, but we love all things Cinnamon)
  • 3/4 cup Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 cup White Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Honey

How to Make Homemade Peach Butter:

Chop and peel peaches. Add peaches, lemon juice, water, vanilla, cinnamon, sugars, and honey to a large pot.

Cook on medium heat until the fruit is soft, then puree and simmer on low heat to your preferred consistency. We like our Cinnamon Peach Butter to be super smooth.

You can eat, freeze, refrigerate, or water bath can if you’d like.
